Galaxy SMany users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra have noticed a surprising issue with the 512GB storage variant. While the device promises ample space for all your apps, games, photos, and videos, there’s a reported problem when the storage approaches around 300GB usage. At this point, the phone begins to show slight lags and delays, which is unexpected for a flagship device of this caliber.
What’s the Problem?
The issue seems to arise as the storage gets fuller, affecting the phone's performance despite its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 16GB RAM. Apps take longer to load, multitasking slows down, and the overall experience feels less fluid.
What’s the Point of 512GB?
If the phone struggles when storing even 300GB, it raises a significant question: why offer 512GB storage if the device cannot handle the load smoothly? For users who rely on large storage capacities for 4K/8K videos, high-resolution photos, and heavy apps, this can be a frustrating limitation.
What Can Be Done?
1. Regular Maintenance: Clearing cache, unused files, and unnecessary apps might help reduce the load on the system.
2. Software Updates: Samsung may address this issue in a future update, so keep your device up to date.
3. Storage Management: Avoid filling up the storage completely and keep some free space for smoother performance.
This issue raises concerns about the real-world usability of larger storage options in premium devices. If you’ve faced this problem or have found a solution, share your thoughts in the comments. Let’s discuss whether 512GB is truly worth the investment!

Also why system store is higher than compared to 256gb variant?
Does this mean that lower storage options have some less features or they are killing more storage for higher storage variants.

The reason system storage is higher on the 512GB variant compared to the 256GB model is mainly due to partitioning and optimization. Higher storage models reserve more space for system tasks like caching, file system management, and future updates. This doesn’t mean lower storage variants have fewer features—they’re fully functional, just optimized differently based on available storage.

I haven't faced any issues so far , I use my phone extensively from using it for quick clicks using expertraw or recording videos at 8k to even processing photos in Lightroom.
