4k in hotstar can't be played in Mobile devices. It can be played only on 4K tv s. If you find this helpful then accept solution.

Hotstar 4K will works only if the display has 4K resolution support, Phones don't have 4k resolution display so it will works only in 4K monitor or 4K TV

Actually you are bit wrong. In many laptops and dekstop having 4K display but not able to play hotstar in 4K. Its their business policy to support 4K in some android tvs. Obviously for movie only.

In my old 4k monitor i can use 4k streaming but there is some content only which are in 4k
