my phone number shows unknown

Hi Team,

On my galaxy S7, my phone number field is empty.
I want it to show my number. How can I achieve that?
one way I can do that is put my sim in iphone and enter my phone number. and then put the sim back in my galaxy phone and now it will show my phone number under about phone "My phone number"


Iphone provide an option to do that but i have never seen any android phone to do that except a few.

Can we provide such feature in future update please. If that's not possible then remove that field altogether because in India, telecom operator doesn't provide sim with phone number in it.
