Its really not needed, don't download any antivirus..
Samsung inbuilt device care security feature is sufficient..
Also, avoid installing any 3rd party apps until or unless it's very much needed..I am not using any antivirus for my device(S10+).

Actually in stock Android it's not needed as it is the job of google to do it. Since here tempers with this flawless things in android for customisation it is their job, so they had something built in which is more than adequate.

Yep, it also depends on the user what the users does with the phone or doing or has the intention to do, along with some other factors😉

In case you are an expert, in digital world nothing is 100% secure😘

no need for antivirus for Samsung if you have OneUI it already inbuilt or if you need then you can use this best antivirus Bitdefender,Norton, Kaspersky, or JioSecurity

samsung devices comes with inbuilt security framework suppprted by some security engines

but you might need antivirus security in these conditions

1. most of the time Apps prior to installation from play store can not be verified as fully secure though google do scan them there are proofs that malwars comes from play store apps , than you need a antivirus app but such function only can be achieved by norton , Kaspersky etc only

2. wifi sniffing can not be checked by these inbuilt security apps so here you may need a seperate antivirus system

3. links in whatsapp message , text messages etc can not verified using inbuilt security app , so here you need an extra antivirus who can pre load and pre scan those link prior to opening the message or prior to load in web browser

4. bogus network singal which seems like legimit cell phone signal and works exactly the real network using sim but they are not , these type of things to prevent requires an aditional antivirus system over the pre installed

etc etc

example prior to download and installed it verifies safe or not , 2nd prior to opening any link from text ot whatsapp or any message it checks for safety

SUMMARY : if you are such user who do use phines for general purposes like chats , games and camera only than you dont need an additional antivirus in your handset. but remember You can not prevent exploits using any means at your end

Yep, you are right, prevention at every step is always good. But in country like India over 70% of phone being sold I believe to be entry level or mid-range. So if these users install these in their phone it will drastically bring down performance and battery life, thus ruin user experience.

By the way how do you keep your phone secure? Any advice which is little bit easy to do.
