Yes.. the cache partition can be clear by going to the recovery menu,

1. Power off device
2. Plug in the device to a laptop through USB and not just to the charger
3. Press Volume Up + Power button until samsung logo appears
4. You will directly go into recovery mode
5. Select wipe cache partition
6. Reboot to system
Follow precise instructions
