I bought my mobile from canada and i am an indian user. When i bought the phone it had one ui 5. I thought that the hotspot icon issue was a problem on the one ui 5. Today i updated my phone to one ui 6 and still my notification bar doesn't have a mobile hotspot icon.
As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.
1. Add a button to your quick setting panel:

Step 4. Tap and hold a button from the menu above and drag it down to the quick access panel. View of quick access panel with Done highlighted.
Step 5. Tap “Done” when finished selecting.
2. Remove a button from your quick settings panel:
