I was/am also one of those person who checked for update every few minutes from April 7th. As the day went by, few minutes became hour, so then 2 hours then 3 then 4 then 5.
I know it's exciting to get a fresh quote of paint on your phone, but thinking deeply none of those features are going to change or solve your current life problems. We have to solve them ourselves. So instead of blaming Samsung, which they totally deserve by the way, we should constructively work on our betterments and find excitements in work, family and friends rather than in mobile.
I have used likes of Honor, Oneplus, Xiaomi, Sony in the past and none of them have such a polished and consistent UI as Samsung. In past one year, I have never had to reboot my phone because it's hung. So life's well with Samsung UI.
Ashamed to say I still end up checking 2 to 3 times a day. But realization is kicking in that nothing changes once you get One UI7 update. Can't wait? Buy a new case! It will give similar excitement for similar period of time.
I was not but not ashamed to say I have grown into one now. The very fact that the phone will not give up on me and drive on my nerve and add to worries I already have in my day gives me peace of mind. And being in software industry, I can tell when you have a larger update, you tend to get somethings wrong. Kudos to Samsung to have guts to stop the release and not give a faulty update. Only thing that could have made it better if they would have been little transparent about it. But as a software company, sometimes these slip UPS happen and you need to recheck so many things that you may not be able to commit to a date.
Exactly, people here behave as if with the new update there phone will get wings and start flying like drones or may be they will become more productive because of some features on there phones. Infact these features will never be used by most of these guys who are crying for updates right now. It's just their work & life frustration that's coming out in these forums.
We would like to inform you that Android 15 (UI 7) will be initially available for the S24 model, scheduled for release around the end of April 2025. Other devices will follow shortly thereafter.
