I got the similar issue in my M55 5G after the update however I changed the side button options by going into settings and now it's working as it was before updating to ONEUI7.

Hey! I understand your concern. After major updates like One UI 7, some default settings get changed. Here's how you can fix the side button issue easily:

Step 1: Check Side Button Settings
Go to:
Settings > Advanced Features > Side Key
There you can customize what happens when you press and hold the side key.
Set it to "Wake Bixby" or "Power off menu", depending on what you prefer.

Step 2: Disable Accidental Touch Protection (if needed)
Go to:
Settings > Display > Accidental touch protection
Make sure it's turned ON. It helps prevent the device from reacting to accidental touches, especially in your pocket or bag.

Step 3: Update Device & Apps
Sometimes bugs get fixed in small patches:
Go to:
Settings > Software Update > Download and Install
Also update all your apps from the Play Store and Galaxy Store.

Step 4: Wipe Cache Partition (safe, won't delete your data)

1. Power off your phone.

2. Press Volume Up + Power button together.

3. In recovery mode, use volume keys to navigate to "Wipe cache partition".

4. Select it with the power button and then reboot.

Try these steps, bro! This should fix the issue.
If the problem continues, you can wait for the next patch or contact Samsung Support directly.

And yes — feel free to follow me if you need help with anything else! I’d be happy to guide you 😄
