Subject: Urgent Complaint – Pink Line Display Issue After February Security Update (Galaxy S23)

Dear Samsung Customer Support,

I am writing to report a serious issue that has affected my Samsung Galaxy S23 after installing the February 2025 security update (One UI 6.1, Android 14, Version: S911BXXU8CYB4).

Since updating, my device has developed a permanent pink line on the display, which was not present before. This issue indicating a possible software defect triggered by the update.

This is completely unacceptable for a premium flagship device. I have not subjected my phone to any physical damage, and the issue clearly arose due to Samsung’s own software update. Given the severity of this problem, I expect immediate action from your team.

My expectations:

  1. Official acknowledgment from Samsung regarding this defect.
  2. A free repair or replacement policy for affected users, as this is a manufacturer-induced issue.
  3. A software fix if this is caused by the update.
I urge you to treat this matter with utmost priority and provide a resolution at the earliest. If this issue is not addressed promptly, it will seriously impact customer trust in Samsung’s products and software updates.

Looking forward to your urgent response and solution.

Best regards,

Arun

As another member, I'm sorry for your loss. These green lines and pink lines are getting more common these days with samsung devices, I've seen posts from people previously said it started with S21,S22 and now S23 Series. This is very serious matter for Indian customers, I highly doubt if other countries too faced the same.

Hey arun , rishabh this side . I am also a s23 user , I also got the above mentioned version and I have updated it , till now by god's grace I have not got any type of such issues .

It's very bad to see this type of major issue in a flagship device . The first is that you should try to restart your device and if that doesn't work than you should check if you can degrade the older version ( not sure ).
Otherwise the safest option is to seek help throgh samsung website customer support and then take it to the sevice centre .
Please raise these type of issue . I hope it's get timely fixed and .
Please revert back if you get the proper solution

Thank you

These are damage to display pixels, and as per my knowledge, I don't think there's any software related procedures to get this fixed for now.

Hey Rishabh, Thanks for your response! Glad to hear your device isn't affected. Unfortunately, my Galaxy S23 is a victim. Downgrading isn't officially supported, so the only option now is to escalate this to Samsung support and visit a service center. This seems like a widespread problem, and Samsung needs to acknowledge and address it ASAP. I'll update if I get a proper resolution. Meanwhile, I'd recommend keeping an eye on your device, just in case. Thanks again for your input! Best, Arun
