Galaxy S- UI Overall:
- Refreshed look across key areas: Notification panel (now separated icons and notifications), Settings, My Files, Gallery (new bottom icons), Camera, Recents, Widget resizing, Lock screen widgets/icons, and a redesigned battery icon in the status bar.
- User Experience:
- Smoother animations overall.
- Some occasional lag — especially in the notification and recent apps panel (likely due to not formatting after the upgrade).
- New Features:
- Bixby and Gemini updates
- Power button now launches AI (can be changed)
- Game Booster improvements
- New iOS-style "Nowbar" navigation pill
- A few AI features ported from the latest flagships
- Menu page refreshments
A solid update that refreshes the experience and makes the device feel new again. That said, the hype and delay were a bit much. One UI 6.1 was already quite polished.
Tip: A full format after the update is recommended for the best performance.
