S23 ultra user here, I don't remember exactly but from yesterday I've noticed that the "x active in background' info is missing in recent apps screen. I remember messing around with some goodlock & normal settings, but couldn't figure how to get it back. I remember updating some apps from galaxy store as well(could it be some bug in latest update??)

Please help me get the option back, I am starting to wonder I may have installed some malware unknowingly 😖😖

It only shows for apps which also keep functioning even after going to home page or other apps, like spotify

I have okta, net speed indicator apps running in background for like entire day even after I remove them from recent apps & I still can't see them shown as running in background(yet I see the network speed & okta notification)🤷🏻‍♂️

Got it, I was not getting the option as I had taskchanger from Goodlock's Home Up enabled. I was able to see the background apps after disabling it.

Is there any workaround so that I can be able to have task changer enabled & see background apps ??
