Is my s23 ultrawide camera supposed to take such blurry pics when at a close up??
It isn't focusing on any subjects at close focus. Please anyone reply 🙏

You can see in the screenshot that ultra wide doesn't have AF(Auto Focus) in s23. That means it can't focus on anything and it's focus is fixed to infinity so it works on far objects but not on close ones. This is drawback of flagship base phone in S series. If you check Ultra phones, they have AF in ultra wide lens which enables it to capture macro shots as well. Whatever others are commenting here are wrong, lack of AF is the reason of your out of focus image and that is expected here.

Setting the focus on your desired subject is a crucial step in photography. It ensures that the main point of interest in your image is sharp and clear.

It's a fixed focus lens i.e. focus fixed at infinity. It is supposed to work like that only.

This is because the rear wide-angle camera on the S23/S23+ has a bright aperture, which allows you to take bright photos even in dark conditions. However, this brighter aperture means that the more noticeable selective focus effect may make the background of photos look blurry.

So these kind of pics by ultrawide lenses are normal??

This is okay with wide angle lenses. Just because you can fit the whole scene into one panoramic sweep doesn't mean you'll create stronge image. Wide-angle lenses can bring with them the temptation to point and shoot at the entire scene, which can make your image lack a focal point or effective composition.
