My friend's samsung galaxy s20 FE 5G phone went into boot loop. What can be the potential reasons? What's the solution? Where can I fix it? What is the expected time of fixing it? Can I do something by myself before taking it to the service center?

Try to boot into recovery and factory reset the device. Or take it to a local repair shop as these issues are usually minor. Official service centers will usually recommend a motherboard change. If you decide to go to a service center, then first ask them to flash the software again before taking the phone apart
