Recently bharti airtel has announced to launch 5G STANDALONE. And it will be only operator to support both SA (STANDALONE) and NSA (Non STANDALONE) 5G. That means we need that software support from samsung to get DUAL MODE 5G settings. I want to ask #Samsung #SamsungIndia ... when will be the software update available to get airtel

Why?SA is given due to Jio.And NSA is already there. So for that Airtel already gets connected to NSA and as SA to was given then why it needs update. Both the NSA and SA are already provided. And Airtel can gets connected to dual 5G anytime.

Bro search on youtube. Iphones in USA have the option under mobile network to manually select 5G SA mode. Or SA PREFERRED MODE. For that feature devices will need an update. Now understand?

Leave USA.In India the device will select between SA/NSA according to network strength.

Once Airtel deploys SA 5g it will invite all OEM manufacturer to test their devices & software on their network once all the configurations are frozen they will provide it to handset manufacturers which will then release software updates for their supported devices. So it will be a lengthy & time consuming process. We will have to wait and watch

OEMs to Push Software Update

Airtel also mentioned that smartphone Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) will push combined NSA and SA software updates with carrier aggregation (CA) functionality to enable handsets to leverage the upgraded network. This will allow Airtel to deliver 5G carrier aggregation (CA) on multiple bands, including the newly refarmed mid-bands.

Just sharing something here. I'm glad Airtel finally decided to bid for SA band bcoz in a very first 5G spectrum auction, it didn't and one of its top person so arrogantly said that we don't need the band that supports SA bcoz it'll be a waste of money. He also said "Airtel is never gonna bid for that frequency even in future". And now this. Though I like Airtel as a service provider and at that time I was very disappointed with their arrogance but I'm happy now.
