Time of pictures changing when I move to a different time zone

I live in india. I was recently in Japan for a holiday, which is 3 and a half hours ahead of India. 

I took some pictures during my holiday, but now the time stamp of that picture has changed to match the india time of that picture. 

For example, I took a picture at 5 pm in Japan, which would be 130 pm here. And when I was in Japan it gave me the 5 pm time stamp. But now that I've come back it shows up in my gallery with the 130 pm time stamp. 

Wouldn't it be the logical thing for the time stamp if the photo to be the local time for where it was taken? And remain in the time zone of the place where the picture was taken regardless of where you are now?

Is there a way I can turn on an option jr change a setting to keep my pictures in their respective time zones?

This is an issue specific only to the samsung gallery, not any others. It is on my s23 ultra. 

Please help.

I think that's logical.. it gives you / show you that time to where you are currently.. if it shows you the Japan time and you are in India, that may create time issue and there is no marking on the photo that it was taken in Japan, only have to go in details to get Location info.. to make it easy understandable they just keep the according to the timezones..

But I have location on, so I know where it is. At times it is very strange when a picture is listed at 4 pm but it is pitch black. Any way to change it?

Yes you can change it.. Turn on the Gallery Lab in Gallery.. and goto Fix date and time.. here you can change the date and time.. or sure if this will be a fix for you.. 😉

When I go back to Japan will the time be again 3 .5 hours behind or will this now permanently keep it as the accurate time
