Today I updated my S24 (Exynos, 2 months old) to the October Security Patch Update, and after the update completed, I wiped the cache partition. When I switched on the device, it had a black lock screen with two green lines, which shocked me!😱 I then entered my password, and the lines instantly disappeared. So, what should I do now?🤔 Those lines might come back at any time. Unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot in that short time; instead, I entered my lock password. 🤦‍♀️ #Update #Phone #Screen #Lines #Problem #Help #S24 #Exynos #Bug #Software

If you check online, you'll find tons of problems people faced, and you'll feel happy because those issues are gone as everyone now has permanent lines.

The potential for recurrence in the future is a source of concern for me. I made a significant investment in acquiring this phone, and I believe that users have been defrauded.

The lines will be permanent in no time. If under warranty good if not nothing you can do as free replacement is limited to S23 series.

If the issue reappears within the warranty period, it's fine, but if it happens right after, that would be a problem. It's unexpected for a flagship phone. 😟📱 #warranty #phone #issue #flagship

If your device is under warranty, my suggestion sell it and buy any other device which you like and use a budget samsung device for the data stored on S cloud.

I bought it for 48,000 rupees two months ago, and I'll only get 30,000 if I sell it. So, I'll have to spend at least another 20,000 to get a similar flagship phone. But I didn't do anything wrong; it's the company's fault.

Last year I sold my S23U for dirt cheap due to green line service centre didn't helped at all. They didn't had any policies for replacement back then now, using a s h i t device (F55).
Maybe you can hold onto your device if green line becomes permanent and samsung introduces any policy for replacement you're good to go but until then take good care of your device physically I mean.

You're right, that's why I always use a back cover to protect it from scratches or dents. We customers have to raise our concerns. I'm going to post this on X and tag Samsung.
