Samsung wallet isn't working properly as I got the international variant, so I don't use it.

Samsung doesnot sale international variant.They sale all regional variant.If you bought it from USA then your device USA variant only

Yes.Those regional lock ensures which region gets whats feature.In India Good Lock is available but in USA Good Lock is not there.In USA Galaxy Gurdain is there but the same thing is missing in India
