Using an S24 Ultra. I used to be able to scroll through text horizontally in text boxes such as the ones in the attached pics. This wasn't a problem in my Note 9. I now have a phone that's much more expensive and many generations newer, yet it removed this functionality.

The two images below show examples of text boxes that I can't scroll through. I can only scroll by using the cursor (the line pointer in text), which is very inconvenient, unlike simply scrolling with my fingers through the text, like scrolling a page.

The image above shows the text box that appears when renaming a file in My Files (Samsung's native default built-in file manager/explorer)

The image above shows the URL box in Vivaldi browser. ALL browsers share the same experience since they all feature the same kind of URL box (single line/row).

It is being reported that there are general scrolling issues with the S24 ultra. There are many reports of the screen registering touches incorrectly, or scrolling in the opposite direction from the users input.
What You Can Do:
* Check for Software Updates:
* Ensure your S24 Ultra is running the latest software version. Samsung frequently releases updates that address bugs and improve performance.
* App-Specific Settings:
* If the issue occurs in a specific app, check its settings for any text display or input options.

Although this is not a direct fix, it is worth checking the accessibility settings on the phone, as there are settings that can alter touch sensitivity, and touch response.
It's important to remember that software changes are common, and user feedback plays a crucial role in shaping future updates.

Thank you for sharing your concern. Kindly note that you can hold the spacebar and change the pointer by moving it left and right.

That's much slower and less convenient than scrolling with my finger. Also, scrolling with my finger would help select any portion of text I want, unlike the spacebar (which isn't even available in all keyboards).
