Samsung dex not working in s8

Samsung dex not starting on laptop although software installed and s8 connected to laptop via usb cable

is it showing connected on your system if yes tap the phone notification asking you to start Dex on system and start mirroring it should start in a minute

then you'll have to purchase cable USB c to a from Samsung shop or from Amazon because it's cable problem
