Dear Samsung Team,

At a recent auto expo, my phone was pickpocketed in a very crowded area, and I felt really upset—especially because I love my S Series. I have an idea that might help protect lost or stolen phones.

Here’s what I suggest:

  1. Phone Registration:
Let users register their phone with their Samsung ID during the phone setup (this can be optional).

  2. Unique Phone Code:
When registering, also record the phone’s unique code (like the IMEI or another secret code built into the phone that doesn’t change even after a reset) and tie it to the Samsung ID.

  3. Mark as Lost:
If a phone is lost or stolen, the owner should be able to log in to their Samsung account and mark the phone as lost.

  4. Block Unauthorized Use:
If someone tries to use the phone after a hard reset, the phone should show a message saying it is already registered with another Samsung ID, and prevent anyone else from using it unless they have the original account password. Also send the location of phone and and any sim inserted etc. to the original user.

This feature would help make phones safer and stop thieves from easily using stolen phones. Thank you for considering my feedback.

Sincerely

Mudit

Totally agree with your points. But one thing should be added that's transfer phone regestration, because if we sell this phone to another person then he will face issue

You can register your phone under your id. In your samsung account your phone will be listed if you registered it. And also if you set find my mobile then you can trace your mobile last location and sim details too. You will receive sms from that new number. This is also supported by samsung and by google too. Where you can trace your mobile.
And some antivirus security software too support such feature. If you have your proof of purchase then if you lodge complaint to the police, then they trace your mobile depend on IMEI number. But thing is if person changes imei number then gone. You won't trace your mobile.

Tried all thing. When someone stole, it does factory reset by doing hard key reset combination. Then you can do nothing

Yeah, it'd be awesome to have those iPhones like features. Once you register your Samsung account, even if a thief factory resets it a million times, it shouldn't let them bypass the lock.I've found a way around it before,Samsung devices still asks for the old account even after a reset, but flashing a different ROM binary or baseband version bypasses that. And a Samsung own email domain would be killer, just like with apple @icloud.com if it's provided.
