Galaxy SSamsung One UI 7.0 is rolling for smartphones with a new camera app including a wide focus on one – hand operations and ease of access through a redesign.
The new app has better space efficiency for on-board elements that improves UI interactions by removing distractions. This decluttering helps you to see what’s important in the live-preview without overwhelming options scattered all over the screen.
The new app enhances the experience with smooth animations, which creates an eye-catching response to the user.
Let’s take a look at the One UI 7.0 camera app features.
Zoom toggle
One UI 7.0 brought the zoom levels below the camera view. Previously, zoom controls used to appear on the bottom side inside the camera view, which expands with more levels above the shutter button.
However, these controls are now fully exposed, and organized above the capture button. Interestingly, the animations make these controls look even better.
Flying Menu
Samsung has restructured the app and removed the unnecessary space by moving some settings to the bottom area. This movement created more room on the top, while storing only essential features.
Now, the app shifted these on-screen features inside the fly out menu button, represented by four squared shape dots. Once tapped, the settings expand with a strip of options hiding the zoom levels. Similarly, the extra zoom levels expand over this fly out menu button dynamically.
AI Filters
The latest One UI version brings new filters for flagship phones, revamping the ones offered in One UI 6.0 and prior versions. These bring more control over the image properties, including the following:
- Strength
- Color temperature
- Contrast
- Saturation
- Film grain
These properties can be adjusted in real-time and post-capture to take visually appealing photographs and videos. These were first introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, but One UI 7.0 is bringing them to previously released models.
Settings
Samsung has made a few new changes to the camera settings to extend the camera options and add new features for eligible devices, such as Log video. The app also has a few new options, such as more customized guidelines and retaining exposure settings.
Log Video
The app has a new Log video feature that helps you capture video with wide dynamic range right from your smartphone. These videos contain actual video properties including colors and light that can be tweaked on a PC with an advanced video editor.
Conclusion
It is now time for you to explore these camera upgrades on your One UI 7.0 device and get a better experience.
