Sensor Size: 200MP = 108MP
The ISOCELL HP2 packs 200-million 0.6-micrometer (μm) pixels in a 1/1.3” optical format, which is the same size as used in 108MP main smartphone cameras. It makes higher resolution camera possible without a thicker camera bump on smartphone.
Tetra2pixel technology
Samsung 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor packs the Tetra²pixel technology, which merges up to 16 pixels into one. It can operate as a 1.2㎛, or even 2.4㎛ unit pixel.
8K @ 30 fps
With a frame rate of 30 fps in 8K video, one can record smooth video in rich detail. When one shoot 8K videos, the ISOCELL HP2 automatically combines four pixels into one to ensure one make the most out of the 1.2㎛ 50MP mode.
D-VTG technology
Samsung’s D-VTG (dual vertical transfer gate) technology enhances the appearance of colors and details in every pixel; even in some of the brightest conditions.
The 200MP HP2’s advanced deep learning algorithm makes photos more expressive so one can experience clarity even after crop or zoom.
Super QPD
ISOCELL HP2’s Super QPD function allows the sensor to use all its 200 million pixels for focusing agents in lot-lit settings, introducing fast auto-focusing, even in a dimly lit environment.
DSG feature
The Galaxy S23 Ultra allows to capture photos in 50MP resolution through the 200MP primary camera itself. For the first time, there will be the DSG feature in the 50MP mode for superb HDR performance.
Smart-ISO Pro
The dual slope gain technology and Smart-ISO Pro create images and videos bursting with colors. One see less motion blur in the final result because these technologies are single frame-based. Thanks to the dual slope gain especially, the ISOCELL HP2 can create an HDR image as high as 50MP.
