Due to severe load on servers, the download speed becomes very slow or may gets failed. Myself, faced same issue but i tried the below steps and finally it worked.
The download got stuck after 40% 55% 80%.

Just turn off mobile data or wifi untill the pop up message come, unable to download. 
Then again turn on wifi or mobile data.
Seach for update in settings.
The download should start from beginning.
This way, if it again get stuck in the middle follow the same, untill you get through till end.

Although, this is painstaking process, but doing these finally i got through. Atleast, try, instead of getting stuck in the midway amd wasting further time by waiting.

● Please take note of the following important instructions before proceeding with any software updates on your devices:
1. Ensure that you have a stable Wi-Fi connection on your mobile device. Downloading via a mobile network may result in additional charges.
2. Check that you have enough storage space available on your device to accommodate the updates.
3. Make sure your device has sufficient battery life for the update process (above 50%).
4. Kindly restart the device.
Path: Press the power and volume down keys simultaneously for a few seconds.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send).
