Galaxy SDear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
We regret to hear about your experience with our product. Please believe that this is not a usual occurrence.
Please perform the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps, these may help in resolving your concern.
● If debris and foreign materials build up in the ear tip or on the mesh, then there may be no audio output or low or poor audio quality. However, the issue may be due to poor streaming output, a weak Bluetooth connection between the earbuds and your phone, the volume setting, or outdated software.
● Check the audio output from your phone's app. First, let's check the app itself. On your phone, go to Settings, tap Connections, and turn off the Bluetooth switch. This will disconnect your earbuds. Now, open the app you were using when you noticed the poor audio. Play a song without your earbuds connected. If the problem persists, ensure the app is updated. If it's not, you may need to clear the app's data.
● Check your phone's sound settings. Next, let's check your phone's audio settings. Open Settings on your phone and see if you have any sound enhancements enabled, such as sound personalization or Dolby Atmos. These can affect sound quality.
● Check your Bluetooth range. Ensure your phone and earbuds are within 30 feet of each other. The exact range can vary depending on your environment and earbud model. Avoid using them near obstructions like walls, routers, or electrical equipment that might interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
● Ensure proper earbud fit. Make sure you're wearing your earbuds correctly. The proper fit varies by model. Also, Buds Sleeves might be needed if your Galaxy Buds Live sit too loosely.
● Check the earbuds' battery. Low battery can affect audio. Check the battery level in the Galaxy Wearable app, or by looking at the charging case's indicator light (location varies by model). If low, charge the earbuds.
● Inspect the earbuds for dirt and damage.
⁕ Regularly clean your earbuds. Dust, earwax, or debris in the microphone can muffle sound.
⁕ Check the air ducts and speakers for cleanliness.
⁕ Inspect for cracks, damage to the case, or broken/loose parts. Obvious damage indicates an external impact that could affect function.
⁕ Remember, earbuds are not waterproof. Liquid or chemical exposure can cause problems.
● Restart your phone and earbuds. Press and hold the Power key or Side and Volume down buttons on your phone. Tap Power off twice. Once fully off, restart your phone. Then, restart your earbuds if possible. If this doesn't work, try a full reset of the earbuds.
● Check for updates via the Galaxy Wearable app or a PC.
