Galaxy SPotential Solutions:
Remove WhatsApp from Sleeping Apps:
Navigate to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits.
Select Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps.
If WhatsApp is listed, remove it.
This adjustment has helped other users maintain microphone functionality during calls, even when the screen is off or when switching apps.
Disable Battery Optimization for WhatsApp:
Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp.
Tap on Battery.
Select Unrestricted or ensure that battery optimization is turned off for WhatsApp.
This ensures that the app remains active in the background during calls.
Check App Permissions:
Navigate to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions.
Ensure that WhatsApp has the necessary permissions, especially access to the microphone.
Clear Cache and Data for WhatsApp:
Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Storage.
Tap on Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Note: Clearing data will log you out of the app, so ensure you have backed up important messages.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's possible that the problem is due to a bug within WhatsApp itself. In such cases, staying within the app during calls can serve as a temporary workaround. Additionally, keeping the app updated and monitoring official channels for updates can be beneficial.
If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Samsung Support or WhatsApp Support for further assistance...
