Galaxy S25 Ultra

This is not a sponsored post, I'm not promoting any brand, just sharing my personal experience from the past 5 years.

Hello fellow members, are you keeping your new device as received, or are you going to use a skin/case and a screen protector?

Now that you might sell/give away your old phone, or Trade-In your old device this year or next year, and as you already know, they use a Grading system in order to evaluate the state of your phone, the less scratches and back glass/screen chips, the higher the grade and value, so what will you be using?

Let us know by sharing photos of your awesome accessories in order to inspire each other.

In my case, no pun intended, the first thing I slab is a skin, a screen protector, and when I'm outside the house, a case.

SKIN:

My favorite skins are from [dbrand], I order them from their website and they get shipped all the way from Canada to Dubai. They have awesome designs and colors you can choose from.

Last year, for my S24 Ultra, I went with the Green Camo Skin from [EZskins], but the brand no longer exists, they were bought by another company, that's why this year I went for [dbrand] again, reliable, fast shipping, accurate cuts awesome 3M quality designs skins, and great customer service most importantly. I received today the Black Camo Skin and it looks good on the phone as usual, they even threw in for the first time, an additional one that not only covers the back, but the edges, top and bottom too. Their skins cost between USD 16 up to USD 30, depending on the texture and design.

CASE:

I used to get the [Spigen] Cases, which are very durable and have a dozen of models, from thin, rugged, armored, hybrid, TPU, Silicone, Transparent, to choose from. I didn't like their transparent ones as they always become yellow after a few months, no matter how much they tell you that they don't.

This year also i went for the Grip case from [dbrand], not a cheap model, around USD 70, with a "Dark Circuit" skin attached to it, and it's Magsafe compatible. It's a bulky case, probably not for everyone, adds a bit of weight, but has great protection, and keeps the phone flat when placed on its back.

Before receiving the above, I was using the Official Samsung silicone case. It’s pretty good honestly, barely has weight, super slim, offers okay protection, but has a camera bump which wobbles the phone when it’s on its back, and has weak charger and S-Pen cuts due to the fact that it’s silicone.

Screen Protector:

Previously, my favorite brand was [Dome Glass] Whitestone, a tempered glass screen protector. It was expensive back in the day, and always imported from the US because they did not have a reseller in the UAE. Each one costs around USD 80 and required a lot of attention and efforts to install, there was a whole process for it including special glue, and a UV light to let it dry.

I was against putting a soft film protector until I tried the [Mobile Outfitters] brand. It's my 4th year using them, they are located in most malls around the GCC. They have several options like, thin, scratch proof, impact proof, fingerprints proof, matt or privacy to fit your screen with, including fitting the whole phone, front to back, sides etc, or just the front like I did.

Mine is called Fusion, I paid AED 189 for it, but the beauty is, unlimited replacements for only AED 10 per replacement, or its equivalent at any country where they are available, whether GCC or Europe or anywhere in the world. Whenever I'm at the mall, and I see that the screen protector film is beat up, I just pass by and have it changed.

Looking forward to seeing what brands and colors you have chosen.

For the one i got in particular, It's the same as the S24Ultra's, a little bit bulkier than the rest as it's made for maximum protection, i don't think it's for everyone honestly, but i got used to it. The good thing is that it doesn't feel as heavy as the previous one due to the fact that the phone is now lighter. It's called Grip for a reason, super tight in the hand.

Hey, not at all, you can select from a wide variety of skins, and the cover is either plain or you can have any skin on it. Check dbrand.com
