Galaxy S1. Software Bugs or Glitches:
The One UI 7 update might have some unoptimized camera software or firmware causing instability.
2. Cache Conflicts:
Old cache files from the camera or gallery may conflict with the new update, slowing things down.
3. AI Processing Delay:
Portraits rely on AI/ISP (Image Signal Processing), which may not be functioning properly post-update.
4. Thermal Throttling or RAM Usage:
If your phone is overheating or low on RAM, the camera may crash or lag.
Solutions to Try:
1. Clear Camera & Gallery Cache:
Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear cache
Do the same for Gallery app
2. Restart the Phone in Safe Mode (to check third-party interference):
Press and hold the power button > Tap and hold on Power off > Select Safe Mode
3. Check for Software Updates:
Samsung may release camera fix patches soon. Go to:
Settings > Software update > Download and install
4. Reset Camera Settings:
Open Camera > Tap Settings icon > Scroll down > Tap Reset settings
5. Wipe Cache Partition (no data loss):
Turn off your phone > Hold Power + Volume Up
When the Samsung logo appears, release buttons
Use volume buttons to select Wipe cache partition > Press Power to confirm
6. Report the Issue to Samsung:
Open the Samsung Members app > Go to Get Help > Error reports
Attach logs after the camera crashes
If Problem Continues: Wait for Samsung to release a bug-fix update, or visit a Samsung authorized service center to ensure it's not a hardware conflict.
