S23 Ultra unable to read 2TB m.2 SSD via UGREEN Enclosure

I have got a new SSD Enclosure and for that I am using Kingston 2TB M.2 NVMe 'Fury Renegade'. After formatting it in exFAT (*default Allocation and also tried 4096*) I tried it to connect with s23U, it got detected and nothing happens after that. Solid Explorer shows a toast message 'Preparing USB . . ' and nothing happens even after waiting for 10 mins.

Tried with formatting in NTFS and exFAT with 2 partition of 500GB and 1.3TB, still same issue.

I had an old phone laying around, **Redmi Note7 Pro and It got working smoothly** without any issues. But not working in Oneplus 7T pro or Oneplus 3.

Now so far, I know that its possible to use this SSD Enclosure in phone, I had doubts earlier.

Back to S23U, I tried connecting it via *USB-C 10 in 1 Hub* along with charger connected with the Hub and it instantly worked, without Charger its not working.

It could be a power consumption issue with S23U and its not able to provide adequate power to it but if that's the case then its strange how 5yr Old Redmi Note7 is working.

*Power Input on SSD Enclosure reads: 5.0V=3.0A Max*

Well, I don't think there is any other solution, so just putting it out there if someone else also faces similar issue.

P.S. Excuse my English. Not my first language.

Instead of solid explorer have you tried the default built in files manager?

Yes, Its not detected by the system. So Solid explorer, default file manager, its one in the same thing.

Upon further googling, I have found that some drives are power hungry so It could be lack of power supply from s23 ultra. Other users have also tried with 970 Evo plus SSDs and got similar issues.

Have you tried FAT32?

Also try this app with Total Commander-

Since the drive is larger than 32GB its not giving an option to format in FAT32.

I tried with total commander + exFAT/NTFS plugin. Still the same. The plugin says Device not supported after trying for ~30 secs. But if I am connecting via usb-c hub with charger connected it works.

Unless there is way to change power output from phone's usb port, I dont see a way this drive will work.

Looks like you're using an internal ssd which requires additional power supply.A portable ssd will work fine in it.

I agree, maybe you are correct.

Will try with different cables but dont think it will make a difference.

I am sorry to say that Samsung follows iPhone since iPhone doesn't accept some SSD cards! :(
