I don't know about others but my S22 5G is giving a sot of nearly 3.5 hours to 4 hours under wifi 120hz indoor room temperature and Bluetooth and location turn on. Before having instagram my phone give sot of 2.5 to 2.75 after uninstalling it gives sot more than 3.5 hours. I am college student after charging the phone for 9 hours the remaining battery is 50% under 5G with all 120hz and Bluetooth and location turned on. With sot of 1 hour the battery remains 50% and i again charged after 14 hours from the previous cycle. Instagram consumes more battery. Do any one experience this?

Being a compact device, and therefore having a smaller battery and a poor chipset, its efficiency is not good enough to last half a day with moderate usage. All of this makes it the worst in terms of battery life.

Instagram and Facebook drain device's battery quickly due to continuous background activity, constant syncing of new content and auto playing videos.

The battery life concerns with your Samsung S22 5G!

Your experience with:

1. _Screen-on time (SOT) of 3.5-4 hours_: This is relatively low, considering the device's battery capacity and your usage patterns.
2. _Instagram's battery consumption_: Uninstalling Instagram resulted in improved battery life, indicating that the app might be causing excessive battery drain.
3. _50% battery remaining after 9 hours of charging_: This suggests that the device is consuming battery power even when not in active use.

Several factors could contribute to this issue:

1. _Power-hungry apps_: Instagram, as you've observed, might be consuming excessive battery power. Other apps, like social media, gaming, or video streaming apps, could also be contributing to battery drain.
2. _Location services and Bluetooth_: Keeping location services and Bluetooth enabled can cause battery drain, especially if you're in an area with weak GPS signals or numerous nearby Bluetooth devices.
3. _5G connectivity_: 5G networks can be power-hungry, especially if you're in an area with limited 5G coverage.
4. _Device settings and configuration_: Settings like screen brightness, refresh rate (120Hz), and power-saving modes can impact battery life.

To improve battery life, consider:

1. _Adjusting app settings_: Limit Instagram's background activity, notifications, and location services.
2. _Disabling unnecessary features_: Turn off Bluetooth, location services, and 5G when not in use.
3. _Optimizing device settings_: Reduce screen brightness, disable 120Hz refresh rate when not needed, and enable power-saving modes.
4. _Monitoring battery usage_: Use the device's built-in battery usage tool to identify and limit power-hungry apps.
5. _Updating software_: Ensure your device is running the latest software, as updates often include battery life improvements.

If you've tried these steps and still experience poor battery life, consider visiting a Samsung authorized service center for further assistance.
