I got a new S20FE 5G on 3rd April, 2021.  There's an issue with the screen where suddenly it will show a greenish pink static while using the phone and the screen will black out. When this happens the touch works fine because I can feel the buttons on the navigation bar, but the display won't show anything. To wake up the display I try to lock the phone by pressing the power button and after that to wake up the screen I have to wait anywhere from a few seconds to half a day, because the display doesn't respond at all at times. The issue also crops up at very random time frames such that it can run days at stretch without causing this issue or it just keeps on happening every 2 to 3 min or so.

PS : When this happens the phone stays switched on. And trying to force restart it can sometimes activate the screen, but it does not always work. I have tried wiping the cache partition as well as tried some other diagnostic steps.

FE models have only issues nothing else.

Yup.. read about them after the issues with my phone started. But my problem seems to be a bit distinct with whatever I have come across so far.

Sounds like a hardware defect, only service might do something,
But you can try: colour correction->turn off
And also go in recovery mode then select repair apps.

Yeah will try the repair apps option.. how can I access it? After I switch on the phone in recovery mode, what do I need to do?

Btw.. one thing that I haven't done yet is factory resetting the phone, I'll try doing that as well

The Display works though.. but it's just that this issue crops up randomly and I can't predict what is causing it.

PS: I am writing this reply from the same phone 😛
