I purchased a Samsung S20 FE online about three months ago. As I turned it on for the first time the touch screen was not working and was kind of disabled. After searching Google I learned how to restart the phone by keeping two buttons. After restart it worked normally for a while but sometime I was noticing the touch screen is disabled for a few second. I returned the phone to seller to resolve the issue but it seems like it was working properly at the time they had my phone and they send it back to me with letter that your phone is working normally and has no problem.

Now that weather is colder I noticed that my phone's touchscreen is not working due to cold temperature. when I am home it works flawlessly but as soon as I leave home after 10 to 30 mins phone's touchscreen does not work again until I reach somewhere warmer like home or inside a train. Even after 10 restarts when I am outside the phone touchscreen does not work and what is the point of a smartphone if it does not work outside😁

I am afraid if I send it back to seller again they don't find the problem again and send it back to me. Has any one experienced an issue like mine and what do you suggest me to do? Thanks advance for your cooperation🙂

Some s20 fe units suffer from touchscreen issue. This is a known issue. Maybe you're one of them who got bad units.

I suggest getting the screen replaced if you still have warranty

Thanks for your answer. May I know how long is warranty for Samsung smartphone. I bought it 3 months ago. Do they replace the screen or replace it with a new phone?

They have 1 year warranty. They won't replace the phone at this point but they'll change the screen for sure

You should go to Samsung service center and repair it under warranty.
Or send it back to seller with a letter asking him to use it in a cold storage (pun intended).

why they should change the screen while it is working perfectly at normal condition. I am not expert but I assume there is a piece of hardware that may cause the problem.

You can try to enable touch sensitivity and give a try, though it's purpose is to use with screen protectors, you can give a try and check it it works

After visiting Samsung service center, the phone was working properly and they did not believe me😁 whatever I explained that it does not work for hours sometimes. the only reply was that technician says it is working😐

It is difficult to take the smartphone at the time it is not working properly to service center because I live far from it. I don't really know how I prove the existence of the problem.
