then go and clead data of the messaging app if it didn't work. Press and hold the messaging app and goto app info then check if it is there,uninstall option if it is there uninstall because maybe someone changed the google assistant app icon by modifying it to messaging app logo. If this all didn't work factory data reset sill surely work for you
