Reselling price or exchange price

Just out of curiosity, why samsung phone exchange or reselling price is very low compared to iPhone and recent champ oneplus.

I believe iphone 11 and samsung s20 both launched same year .

Ii was trying to exchange for s21 ,even in samsung online shop itself s20 exchange value for s20 is 15k and iphone 11 is 21k .(128gb variant both)

Just in 1.5years depreciation is so high from 65k to 15k..

Then in 2.5yeats it will be 8k ..

Sad truth..

Samsung has to so something on this for their valuable customers.

Apple has more premiumness than Samsung..
That's the reason y millions of people bought iPhone 12 series eventhough it doesn't have charger ..
Same with samsung take s21 series in starting it was creating record sales for samsung but on long term sales s21 series became unsuccessful for samsung compared to its predecessors s20 and s10 series...

Does oneplus have more resale value than samsung🤔🤔.
Orelse in Android samsung has the best resale value

These phones are famous for poor performance heating issue and all due to exynos ..
So their resale value could be less

Exchange prices on samsung website drops drastically all the time.

Always OLX likes will do far better. In my experience I have got reasonably for all my previous Samsung phones by OLX even by Samsung upgrade benefits.

You should also consider the upgrade bonus eligible from your previous phone in this comparison. For s20 it is 10000 I think. That is added to the said 15k. Then it will be 25k. For Which iPhone not eligible.
Still you will get much fairly if you sell your own by any means like olx. And you can claim that benefit as well.
Actually their upgrade bonus working as a loyalty benefit.

Losing popularity, I guess. I purchase my phones from a particular shop. He always gives a good exchange rate, better than any shop in the locality. When I bought my A71 from him, he warned me I won't get a good exchange rate on a Samsung. Still, I went through with the purchase. Seven months in, and I'm getting 11K for a phone I spent 28K on.

Even 'https://www.sahivalue.com/sell' is offering 13600INR that even in 6GB model. And For 8GB 14900lNR. Means you will get much better if you sell it directly.

That's just an estimate. They give your phone a thorough check, and when they notice even a single scratch or tiny dent, or the slightest wear and tear, which is always going to exist on a used phone, they immediately drop the price by another 2-3K, or even more. The same with those agents that Flipkart and Amazon contract with, which are essentially the likes of Cashify etc. I know how these people operate. They're never going to give you a fair deal, but try to buy your phone at the lowest possible price.
