Dear Samsung Support Team,

I am experiencing a recurring software issue on my Samsung Galaxy S23, which has not been resolved despite multiple service center visits and software updates.

Issue Details:

  • When connecting Bluetooth earphones, the media volume controls automatically switch to call volume, preventing proper volume adjustment.

  • Restarting the phone temporarily fixes the issue, but the problem reoccurs every two days.

  • The Samsung service center confirmed this is a software glitch, yet no permanent fix has been provided.

Attempts to Resolve:

  • I have visited the Samsung service center twice, but no solution has been found.

  • The hardware was checked and found to be working fine, confirming this is a software-related problem.

  • I requested a pick-and-drop service, but it was denied, forcing me to visit the service center repeatedly.

Concerns:

  1. Persistent software issue affecting the usability of the device.

  2. Ineffective support despite multiple service center visits.

  3. Inconvenience and frustration caused by the lack of resolution.

Request for Resolution:

  • Provide a permanent fix for this issue through a software update.

  • Offer a replacement or refund if the issue cannot be resolved.

  • Improve after-sales service to address such problems effectively.

This issue is causing significant inconvenience, and I request urgent action from Samsung. Please provide an update on when this will be fixed.

Looking forward to a prompt resolution.

Best regards,
Abhishek U N

Try these solutions to fix the Bluetooth volume switching to call volume issue on your Samsung Galaxy S23:

1. Disable Absolute Volume

1. Enable Developer Options → Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Tap "Build Number" 7 times.

2. Go to Settings > Developer Options.

3. Disable "Disable Absolute Volume" option.

2. Reset Bluetooth Settings

1. Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

2. Restart your phone and reconnect Bluetooth earphones.

3. Use Media Volume Sync (if available)

1. Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.

2. Tap Advanced (3-dot menu) and enable Media Volume Sync.

4. Turn Off Call Audio for Bluetooth Device

1. Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.

2. Tap Settings ⚙️ next to your Bluetooth earphones.

3. Disable Call Audio (this forces the device to use media volume).

5. Check for Software Updates

Settings > Software Update > Download and Install → Ensure your phone is updated.

6. Test in Safe Mode

1. Restart your phone in Safe Mode (Press and hold power button > Tap and hold "Power Off" > Select "Safe Mode").

2. Check if the issue persists. If not, a third-party app may be causing the problem.

7. Factory Reset (Last Resort)

Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset → Backup your data before proceeding.

If the issue persists despite all steps, it's likely a firmware bug. You can escalate the complaint with Samsung Support and request a software patch.
