Recent apps in Samsung s21 ultra

I do not remember when this change occurred but for the life of me, I am unable to change the recent app layout. It used to be a carousel and I used to be able to pick which app I wanted to do the splits reen with. Now it is a list and I can only split screen the last used app https://9apps.ooo/.

Anyone else noticed this and is there a way to change this? I tried using good lock multistar but it has not effect.

You need to go to good lock application, then task changer and then you can select.
