The app was working fine on One UI 5.1 and I was making payments on UPI regularly using the phone. One UI 6 update arrived yesterday and after that the scanner shuts down within a second of opening it. This is for the Exynos edition of S21 FE.

I have tried resetting the app and that does not fix up the problem. QR Code Scanner closes down as soon as you load it.

The app is working fine apart from the scanner.

Yeah, Samsung support has been useless. It is a simple issue that can be forwarded to the wallet app team, and they can look into it. But nope. I am getting the usual useless responses where they suggest resetting the app, readding cards, updating the app. I have also submitted a crash log as they suggested and even that has resulted in no positive response. I am sure this would eventually get fixed in a future wallet app update. But for now, it is the usual nonsense where they just pretend that all is well, and the user is doing something wrong.

Since they have already closed the rewards program, I have just stopped using the wallet app altogether and switched to Paytm. And this also makes it easy for me to consider some other company phone when I upgrade next time around. Samsung Pay was one of the few things that kept me on the Samsung ecosystem. Now, there is no need to stay with it.
