I saw someone saying the SD variant lacks it but it's there in the Exynos variant.

We never had that seamless transition from AOD to lock screen in FE series. I am not sure.

The user said after the 6.1 update, it has come to the Exynos variant. I am not sure, haven't updated mine yet. Also, I don't use AOD as the battery life is trash even without it.

Actually few weeks back I had got a notification from Google that it is available now on my phone. But there was no option to enable it. Looks like somehow it is disabled.

Yes. Samsung does not have any advantage due to it. Any such features first will make it thr and then generally available for all. Just like rcs.
