I recently updated my software in November, and immediately after the update a pink line appeared on my screen. I contacted customer care, and I was informed that since I purchased my device in October 2022, I am eligible for a display replacement only within three years. As my device is now 3 years and 1 month old, they are refusing support.

However, this issue occurred directly after a software update and was not caused by any user action. Therefore, I believe it should not be treated as a standard warranty matter. The service center stated that the replacement would cost ₹10,000, and even mentioned that if the same issue occurs after future updates, I would have to pay the same amount again.

I would like clarification on this. Since the problem was triggered by a Samsung software update, I believe it should be addressed by the company regardless of the device’s purchase date.
