• With One UI 7, Samsung introduced Live Notifications, which could show real-time updates from apps.
• But it only worked with a few Samsung apps.
• That meant most third-party apps couldn’t use this notification feature.
• Now, things are about to change with One UI 8.
Expanded Live Notification Capabilities
• In One UI 8 Beta 3, a new developer option called “Live notifications for all apps” has been discovered by Mishaal Rahman via Android Authority.
• When this One UI 8 setting is turned on, third-party apps that support Android 16’s new Live Updates API can show live notifications in the Now Bar and the status bar.
