One UI 7 Beta 2 rolling out to Galaxy S23 with select new S25 features

Samsung Galaxy S23 series is getting the One UI 7 Beta 2 update. The new firmware comes with four new features from the Galaxy S25 series, a handful of bug fixes, and the latest April 2025 security patches.

The Galaxy S23 family’s One UI 7 Beta 2 can be identified via PDA build version ending with ZYCE. It’s a build similar to what Samsung provided to the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 over the past two days.

Newly added features include the ability for Gemini Assistant to be summoned using the power button. Call transcriptions feature is also included in the second Beta, offering you recorded conversations in text format.

Samsung Keyboard will allow you to create AI-powered stickers and graphical images to elevate chats. The web page summary feature is also here so you don’t have to read the entire article content.

It’s worth noting that the latest Beta doesn’t bring features like Audio Eraser and Natural Language Search. It seems the company would keep these two AI-powered features limited to the flagship phones released in 2024 and later.

Talking about bug fixes, the changelog specifically mentions four, with many other improvements also included. The update addresses widget letters and overlaps and improves and enhances the screen experience for Routines feature.

Music Control user interface is also getting elevated across Live Notifications, Status Bar, and Now Bar. The new Beta also fixes the NFC-related bug causing the NFC tag can not be recognized with cover closed.
