Folks,
I know many of you must have had issues with the OTT content quality issues. Somehow, they always play in SD quality or 540p. I read a lot of forums and found that it has something to with the widevine CDM security level and the only way to fix it is by updating the google play services.
I did an update and was happy to see HD content on my S22 Ultra again. However, this was shortlived and today I had to update the google play services again because the CDM security level was reduced to L3. The contents are in HD(for now) after the latest update. I am certain that this will happen again and I am concerned what if the next time there isn't a google play service update available?
It is a shame I cannot watch HD content on a expensive flagship phone.
Is this a Google issue or Samsung? Is there a permanent fix to this problem? Can somebodey help?

Yeah! this doesn't help. Neither does re-installing the applications. The only fix is to update the google play service from the settings. However this is temporary.
