Galaxy SWhat’s New in the Update?
The November patch, part of Samsung’s regular security updates, primarily focuses on enhancing the Auto Blocker feature. When set to its maximum level, Auto Blocker disables data communication via the USB Type-C port, except for basic charging. This means any USB-connected accessories, including wired Android Auto, will not function when this setting is enabled. This change aims to protect against potential threats like “juice jacking,” a type of attack where malicious USB connections can extract data from your phone without permission.
Potential Impact on Android Auto
While this security enhancement is beneficial, it could cause issues for users who rely on Android Auto. With the Maximum restriction active, connecting your Galaxy phone to a car’s infotainment system for wired Android Auto might not work. It’s worth noting that this setting is not enabled by default, so unless manually activated by the user, Android Auto should operate as usual. However, if users have previously enabled this feature for security, they might experience disruptions when trying to use Android Auto.
How to Fix the Issue
If you encounter problems with Android Auto, you can adjust your settings to resolve the issue:
- Go to Settings on your Galaxy device.
- Navigate to Security and Privacy.
- Select Auto Blocker and switch off the Maximum restrictions toggle.
This simple change will allow USB data connections again, enabling Android Auto to function as expected.
Security Advice
Despite this potential inconvenience, the Maximum setting of Auto Blocker is recommended when charging your phone in public places. It can effectively block unauthorized data access and protect against malicious USB connections. Users can switch this feature on and off depending on their needs to maintain a balance between security and functionality.
Overall, the November 2024 update adds important security features but may require some adjustments for users depending on Android Auto. This trade-off highlights the importance of personalized settings based on individual needs and usage scenarios.

Galaxy SI am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the performance of one Samsung devices I own.
The Samsung S22 Plus. Despite my long-standing loyalty to the Samsung brand, the recent issues with these devices have severely undermined my trust in the quality and reliability of your products.
Samsung S22 Plus Issue - I purchased the Samsung S22 Plus with the expectation of a premium experience, given its high-end specifications and cost. However, my experience has been marred by a persistent vertical pink line that has appeared on the screen. This line appeared suddenly when recently software update and has not been resolved despite my attempts at troubleshooting, including restarting the phone, updating the software, booting in Safe Mode, running display tests. All these efforts have been to no avail, indicating a probable hardware defect & approached to service raising of job sheet also about this issue. Their is no response from customer care numbers they simply feedback & told it is chargeable.Howcome it is charge for customer like for only update of your own software. It is not a physical damage from my side.Kindly go through my letter hope I will get a response ASAP.
