Hello! This issue usually happens when the Android System WebView or the app's Deep Link settings are corrupted, preventing the notification from "pointing" to the right page inside the app. Here is how you can fix it:
1. Update Android System WebView:
Most apps use this to render content from notifications.
Go to Play Store > Search for "Android System WebView" > Update it.
Also, update your Google Chrome browser as they are linked.
2. Reset "Open by Default" Settings:
If the app doesn't have permission to open links, the notification will fail.
Go to Settings > Apps > [Select the App, e.g., YouTube/Shorts].
Tap on "Set as default" or "Open supported links."
Ensure "Open supported links" is toggled ON.
3. Clear Cache of the Specific App:
Go to Settings > Apps > [Select the App] > Storage.
Tap Clear Cache. (Do not clear data unless you want to log in again).
4. Check for "Battery Optimization":
If the app is "Sleeping," it might fail to open quickly from a notification.
Go to Settings > Apps > [Select the App] > Battery.
Set it to "Unrestricted" and see if the issue persists.
5. System UI Refresh:
Sometimes the notification shade itself glitches.
Go to Settings > Apps > Search for "System UI" (Enable 'Show system apps' from the filter).
Go to Storage > Clear Cache.
