All of a sudden, notification and notification sound not working on my S23 Ultra. For every notification either I have to rely on Notification History or manually fo ans check each app.
This is ridiculous using such a branded hoghly paid phone.
I tried all hacks from updating the notification and sound settings to resetting the settings. But no luck and the issue continues.
Alongside observing quick battery drain. While typing this message it drained Over 4% .

QUICK FIX STEPS

1. Restart Phone – First thing. Simple but often works.

2. Turn Off Do Not Disturb
→ Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb → Turn Off

3. Check Notification Volume
→ Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume → Slide Notification to max

4. App Notifications
→ Settings > Notifications > App notifications → Enable for all important apps

5. Disable Adaptive Notifications
→ Settings > Apps > 3-dot menu > Special Access > Adaptive Notifications → Set to None

6. Turn Off Battery Saver / Power Saving Mode
→ Settings > Battery > Power saving → Turn Off

7. Safe Mode Test (to check third-party app issue)

Hold Power + Volume Down → Long press Power off → Tap Safe Mode

Check notifications/sound. If working here, some app is causing issues.

8. Clear Cache Partition

Power off phone

Hold Volume Up + Power → Recovery mode

Select Wipe cache partition → Reboot

9. Update Software
→ Settings > Software update > Download and install.
