Galaxy SDear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
We regret to hear about your experience with our product. Please believe that this is not a usual occurrence.
Please perform the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps, these may help in resolving your concern.
If Bixby is not responding when you say “Hi, Bixby,” there are a few things you can do to improve the voice command accuracy. You can try removing your voice recording, adding a new voice recording, and then changing the sensitivity setting. This way, Bixby will always be able to hear your voice.
Steps to be Followed: 1. Navigate to Bixby Settings. Navigate to and open Bixby, tap Discover (the compass icon), tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Settings.
2. Turn on Voice wake-up. Tap Voice wake-up, and then tap the switch at the top to turn it on.
3. Remove the previous voice recordings. Next, tap Delete voice wake-up recordings, and then tap Delete. This option will only appear if you've previously recorded your voice with Bixby.
4. Register a new voice recording.
- You can now register another voice recording by tapping Recognize voice.
- Tap Start, and then follow the on-screen instructions to register your voice.
- Tap Done when you’re finished.
- Now, tap Improve voice wake-up accuracy.
- Tap Start and follow the on-screen instructions again.
When you finish, you can tap Record More to give Bixby even more accuracy or tap Done if you are finished. If you find that Bixby is less responsive in other locations, return to this screen and use Improve voice wake-up accuracy again in that location.
5. Change the wake-up sensitivity. Next, use the slider under Wake-up sensitivity to change the setting to High.
6. Test your voice command. Try speaking to Bixby by saying "Hi, Bixby." If this still doesn't work, proceed to the next step.
7. Reset Bixby. If the issue persists, you can try resetting Bixby.
In case the issue still occurs, please visit the service centre for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service centre with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
