That's an interesting issue. The Samsung S24's automatic switch from 5G to 4G when the phone gets heated is likely a safety feature to prevent overheating. However, I understand your concern.

Possible Reasons
1. _Thermal throttling_: The phone's processor might be throttling its performance to prevent overheating, which can cause the switch from 5G to 4G.
2. _Power management_: The phone's power management system might be prioritizing heat dissipation over maintaining a 5G connection.

Settings to Explore
1. _Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network mode_: Check if you can manually select a preferred network mode, such as "5G/4G/3G/2G (auto)".
2. _Settings > Device care > Battery > Power saving_: Disable any power-saving features that might be contributing to the switch from 5G to 4G.

Additional Tips
1. _Keep your phone's software up-to-date_: Ensure you're running the latest software version, as updates often include performance and thermal management improvements.
2. _Use a phone case with heat dissipation_: Consider using a phone case designed with heat dissipation in mind to help keep your phone cool.
3. _Avoid resource-intensive activities_: Try to avoid activities that cause excessive heat generation, such as gaming or video recording, for extended periods.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that this behavior is a design choice or a safety feature that cannot be disabled. You may want to contact Samsung support for further assistance.

Earlier I am facing this issue with my device so I reach out to customers service team. They guided me this setting. He said as of now 5G is not available everywhere so your device trying to capture your network when 5G not available. By doing this by your device from 4G to 5G and 5G to 4G. So it will effects device motherboard and processor. That's the reason your device getting hot and vapour cooling can't control that much heating.
If I answer your query then accept this as your solution so that other person also get the same help for their device.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your query, we want to inform you that 5G network service may not be available depending on the network conditions of your mobile network service provider even though you are in the 5G service area.

Regarding this, the mobile network service provider will continuously improve the network quality of 5G service through gradual network coverage expansion going forward. And, the 5G devices use in conjunction with LTE and 5G networks and support the high-speed processing of large data, which may result in increased battery consumption and higher heat generation compared to LTE devices under the same conditions.

Also, when you use applications that require more power for extended periods, the device may heat up due to increased battery consumption as well. If the 5G device heats up to a specific temperature during use, the algorithm to prevent the device’s overheating operates, and accordingly, the maximum performance of the device may be limited and the network signal changes to a 4G network.

This is a normal operating condition to assure continuous device performance.

In this case, please wait for the device to get cool down for a while and then use the device again. If the 5G device gets cooled down to a specific temperature, the device will connect to the 5G network again.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
