Need help: proximity sensor

I have samsung s22 ultra. My proximity sensor works perfectly fine for calls. However, the issue is with whatsapp audios. When i want to listen through earpiece, the screen does not go black and audio still comes through the speaker. 

The samsung members diagnostic also shows the sensor is working perfectly fine.

I don't think it is a WhatsApp issue, it only happens when my S20+ is connected with the galaxy watch 4 via Bluetooth, and "Calls" set to on in the Bluetooth configuration.

Fixed it by going in to the Bluetooth configuration in the phone, clicking in gear icon next to the watch 4 and setting option "Calls" to off.

However it disables a big feature of the watch, the ability to make calls, or answer and speak in to the watch.

My WhatsApp, S20+ phone, galaxy wear app and galaxy watch 4 are all updated to current versions.

I checked it now on my s22 ultra and its working whenever call is disabled  from watch Bluetooth the proximity sensor in whatsapp is working

It seems its not whatsapp issue.

I find the same problem with samsung Active 2 and s22,and this works fine for me.thank you

The quickest way to listen on ear is :

Turn off bluetooth and then u can listen audio and then again turn on ;)

Same for S10+.  Not the case for my pixel 5.  Clearly its the problem of Samsung

im using Z fold 4 and also facing the same issue ... 

Fixed it by going in to the Bluetooth configuration in the phone, clicking in gear icon next to the watch 4 and setting option "Calls" to off.

this fix worked for me!
