Hey. I did some research and found your model US carrier specific. It is recommended as per the website that you are in US and with carrier SIM to perform the update.

We can use some tools to update the firmware however carrier based devices will need activation mostly with there SIM card. So if you update you will have a phone you can't use and moreover it's not easy to downgrade or revert back.

I think S9 and s9+ will received update till Android 10 version 2.5 only. After that may be only security updates,
