When a service center repairs or replaces the back panel of your phone, the water-resistant seal may be compromised, but the impact is generally less significant compared to a display panel repair.

Most smartphones, including Samsung devices, have a water-resistant design that relies on seals and gaskets around openings like the SIM card slot, charging port, and buttons. The back panel itself is typically not the primary water-resistant barrier.

However, when the back panel is replaced:

1. *New seals may not be as effective*: The new seals or gaskets applied during the repair might not be as effective as the original ones, potentially reducing the device's water resistance.
2. *Risk of improper sealing*: If the repair is not done correctly, there's a risk of improper sealing, which could compromise the device's water resistance.

To minimize the risk:

1. *Use an authorized service center*: Ensure the repair is done by an authorized service center with experienced technicians.
2. *Ask about water-resistant sealing*: Inquire about the service center's process for maintaining water resistance during the repair.
3. *Test the device*: After the repair, test the device in a controlled environment to ensure it's still water-resistant.

Keep in mind that even if the device is no longer fully water-resistant, it should still function normally and provide adequate protection against everyday splashes and spills.
