Hi All,

Just a quick question.

I plan on visiting Dubai this month and I intend on making some purchases there including the s23 ultra.

My question is, once I come back to India, are there any possible dilemmas that I might face on buying a phone from another country and using it in India? I read in some other threads about 5g support with Jio, samsung pay etc...

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,

I would not recommend to buy smartphone from other country as there are low chances of carrier support

No issues while using dubai devices in india .you will get software update and all telecome indian5g bands are now available in all other country's all 5g bands will work in india smoothly the only issue is that with in the warranty period you can't claim the warranty other than the place you buy the device

Don't worry bro you get the same model in India (SM-S918B) as well and all 5G services work well without any issues......
2 things that you should keep in mind that

1.] You will receive XSG updates

2.] You won't be able to claim any sort of warranty in India

Apart from this your device will work absolutely fine

It will work fine since both share same model but
1. Warranty will not be provided
2. You won't get beta updates and updates will be as per middle east schedule.
3. 4g CA support is doubtful.
4. 5g support, I will ask from my friend he has S23+ bought from Kuwait. I will him abt the same. Will DM you, type a message so that I don't forget.
I hope this helps you.

Jio5G definitely wont work atleast till a full scale commercial roll out. Jio has specifically written on its device compatibility page. Check screenshot.

I confirmed the same with my friend who had purchased this device from Dubai and even changing CSC to Indian one did not help.Screenshot_20230826_100844_Samsung Members.jpg

Hi, since my Note 10 and S23 Ultra are UAE variant I can assure everything will work flawlessly.. samsung pay will work without any issues but few options won't work like upi, digilocker id, and no redemption of points on ecommerce sites..warranty cannot be claimed here..
